Boat dealer software comparisons: AI lead response, texting and CRM
Most boat dealers comparing software are choosing between four different kinds of product that get described in the same words. These comparisons separate them, state every published price with its date, and say plainly when a vendor does not publish one.
Keelson Intelligence makes Keelson, an AI sales desk, so it is one of the products compared here. Each page says so at the top and includes the situations where another tool is the better fit. Where a claim comes from a competitor or a review site, the page links the source so you can check it yourself.

Four kinds of software that get compared as one
Before comparing vendors, decide which job you are buying for. Many dealers end up running two of these together, for example a CRM as the record of the deal and an AI sales desk that answers and books on top of it.
- AI lead response
- Software that replies to a new lead on its own, asks qualifying questions and, in the better tools, books the appointment. The questions to ask are how fast it answers, which channels it uses, how long it follows up and whether it can only say what your inventory says.
- Texting and messaging platforms
- A shared inbox that lets your people text buyers from the dealership's number, often with reviews and payments attached. Your staff still write and send the messages, so speed depends on who is on shift.
- CRM and dealer management systems
- The record of every unit, customer and deal. A CRM stores the lead and reminds a salesperson to call; on its own it does not answer the buyer at 9pm on a Saturday or book the sea trial.
- BDC staffing
- People, in-house or outsourced, whose job is to answer and set appointments. They handle phone calls and judgment well and cost the most per hour of coverage.
How these comparisons are put together
Prices and features come from each vendor's own pages, review sites and trade press, read on the date shown on each page, and every figure links to where it came from. Vendor claims about results (reply rates, sales lifts) are left out unless they come with a method a dealer could check. Pages are re-checked when a vendor changes its pricing or features, and the updated date at the top of each page changes with them.
For what Keelson costs, see the pricing page; for definitions of the terms used across these pages, see the boat dealer sales glossary.
